The bottom sensor, located at one and a half inches above the bottom of the container, is responsible for shutting off irrigation when the moisture surrounding it reaches a preset level.

As indicated in the adjacent image, the water stopped sinking at the level of the sensor.

The lit yellow and green LEDs, inside the early prototype, indicate that the prescribed amount of moisture has reached both upper and lower sensors.

Multiple sensors make expert controllers more accurate than their rivals.
